How do you think the team building went over the close season?
Im happy with my final team but with the low points limit it was a nightmare getting there, i had to virtually give away riders in the end, so just not to lose them,
The squad i put together will hopefully do the business, big money has been spent on sandor but with promising yet unspectactular pre season scores things are hopeful, Housley and Knight arrive from boston with massive pedigree ,Whilst i have a starlet in my midst with southam at 17, who pre season has averaged well ..Holmes and baldwin will again do well, , I Think my main asset is the fact every rider has the potential to increase there averages
What do u say to the people and team that say Sandor waltner was an expensive buy for his age and quality?
I d say that i have bought the best rider in the world under the age of 21, The record proves it, he is current world champ,
The cash thing is possibly the only thing that goes against him as expectations are massive, but a solid season and the promotion will be happy from there im sure he will just get better, but i think he needs this season to get to grips with the league
Last season you took a strange approach to the end of the season, when u thought you couldn’t go up or achieve any more in the league you stopped paying the riders with still over 5 matches to go. How do you think this affected you riders? And will there be any lasting damage

What do you hope to achieve this season you have a strong line up for the pairs and a good shot at the league.
Im confidant of a good season, but the pairs i dont think we will be in contention , too many good others pairings ahead of us.In the league we have a good chance and im hopeful of a competitive season, if we can improve on last year id be happy, every season i been the promoter of stannington my team has improved so another would be good And if we improved again that means we are at least fourth so we been in the mix at least,
Looking at the teams in the division i do think that the snakes have a good chance of finishing in the top 3 but this league is gonna be tough this year like last and anyone could spring a surprise .
Cup wise, If i could make the semis in the divisional and 2nd round of the KO its been a better season than the previous year so my expectations arent to high in these competitions
Who Are your main rivals in the Gold edition
Well considering im from sheffield and so are brookwood it must be them, i have had a drink with paul who runs them and he is a nice guy but having been in many more years than me im playing catch up with him any success i can get over him is good by me,
If stannington can get to be better than brookwood id be very happy because this means we have had success because brookwood are a class team.
On a personnel note this season i wanna stuff winchester, they did me over regards a transfer and left me in a awkward position regards my team building and of course beating stag hill is always good, there promoter has a big mouth,lol
what is your most memorable season?
Thats got to be the season we got promoted and won the divisional cup, i was points clear in the league and used my strength to set up a strong team towards the end of the year,
We had Lee Vella on loan that season and he was absolutely brilliant around our place , His great season along with good captaincy Greening lead us sailing away, the seasons start was set up with Bagin ,Charles, Greening ,Vella, all on 7 points then new signing Saxton coming in on 4,, saxton after 12 was averaging over 8 and this led to a fantastic start
whats you view on paul and how the s-league is running
i think paul is doing a good job, i think the sleague is still massively enjoyable, Perhaps one or two aspects of the game could be changed or tweaked but that’s done to us to vote in i guess each year

are you happy with the first turn of results and your team? Pairs?
Im not unhappy how the season has started , i knew that this year is gonna be tough more so for me having spent a fortune on the promising Sandor, in the back of my mind i know he isn’t going to be a 10 pt man this year , but given he is the world u21 champ his pedigree is clear, he just needs patience shown on him, the addition of housley and knight should eventually come good, but when u make so may early season changes there is always gonna be a settling in period for them all, what i am pleased with is the form of starlet Southam, he will be on a 7 pt pus ave come week twelve I’m sure, and at this stage of the season is gold dust at reserve, The pairs was never going to be a competition i was going to get excited about, so far i haven’t had a pairing who have qualified for round two, and whilst Holmes is class Baldwin can have days when he struggles against the very best ,, this is what happened last turn,
